2014_Year_In_Review

With 2014 coming to an end, I already find myself reminiscing over the last year. The emotion highs and lows. Success and failure. What could have been and what’s to come. So much to think about. I’m going to think hard over the next few days as I’m actually on vacation (yay) and want to come up with some relevant data to present to the peeps in the street. Here’s what I’m thinking so far for my year in review!

  • Favorite Event
  • Travel Destination of the Year
  • Best Sneaker Pick-Up
  • Best Gaming Pick-Up
  • 2014 Game of the Year
  • 2014 Manga of the Year
  • 2014 Anime of the Year
  • 2014 Movie of the Year
  • New Experience of the Year
  • Girl of the Year
  • Homie of the Year
  • Nostalgia Trip of the Year

I will thoroughly report on the above and have something to you sometime after New Year’s. Until then. Thank you so much for 2014. ❤

While on a short hiatus, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure – Part III: Stardust Crusaders has been *ahem* STAND-ing tall with an amazing translation from the source material. The series will continue with the climactic final part of the story starting January 2015. Check out the new teaser above!

If you’re not up to date on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, you can check out the entire series up to date OR even watch a re-edited cliffs notes version at crunchyroll NOW!

Slam_Dunk_laydown_detailBack in August I posted about the upcoming Air Jordan VI that was inspired by the manga/anime ‘SLAM DUNK’ ! Just early today NIKE & Jordan Brand officially announced the JORDAN X SLAM DUNK collection… Yes. COLLECTION! You can see in the main image above that the collaboration project consists of more than just the Air Jordan VI that we saw previously. It also includes two unique shirt designs and the Jordan Super Fly 3, which have both been designed with the SLAM DUNK fan in mind. Click below for the full gallery and more information!

SLAM_DUNK_AJ6_001If you’ve been following sneaker news, you might have heard that a few months ago Jordan Brand was putting together something special for Slam Dunk fans! Takehiko Inoue’s classic ’90s basketball manga/anime was a cultural phenomenon for Japan. Much like what Eyeshield 21 did for American Football in Japan, Slam Dunk did the same for professional basketball. Basketball culture and everything that went along with it, was (and still is) in full swing all over Japan. Sneaker culture in particular made a big impression amongst fans of the show. fave_manga_anime_girlsMy friend VampyBitMe challenged me to list/write about my favorite female manga & anime characters the other day. I thought long and hard about it and was surprised at how difficult it was for me to come up with a top ten. I couldn’t settle on just ten, actually I easily had 20-30 characters in mind, but I thought it was important to list the ones that really stuck out for me. In no specific order, check out my picks for best anime & manga gals! Click below for the full list…
